About Us
We are a design/build residential remodeling firm founded in 1992. First-and-foremost we are craftsmen, but we are also nationally recognized industry thought leaders on topics such as the design/build process, open book management, customer service, and staff empowerment. The foundation of our system is rooted in establishing a good "fit" with clients, very organized planning & design process to eliminate surprises during construction, and formalized communication throughout the entire process. Over 90% of our business comes from repeat clients and direct referrals. Approximately 2/3 of our projects in 2011-2012 were for repeat clients.

Working with the Out-of-the-woods team was an extremely rewarding and productive experience. Collaborating with them, we created the kitchen (and other parts of our house) of our dreams. Previous contractors, including one well-known and award-winning home remodeler, mostly did good work, but there was often insufficient communication between them and us, resulting in important parts of the project not being what we wanted. With Out-of-the-woods, from the start to finish we were an integral part of the team, which included the owner Greg, the kitchen designer Deb, and the lead carpenter Dave. It was this teamwork along with an extremely meticulous process of planning and execution and a general pride in workmanship and customer satisfaction that differentiated Out-of-the-woods from our previous contractors and those hired by our friends. They were exactly on schedule and came in at the agreed upon cost plus a few changes we made during construction. They solved a problem of successfully connecting our kitchen to our garage without destroying our kitchen fireplace, which other contractors said could not be done. We recommend them without hesitation.

Out of the Woods Construction is hands down the BEST experience you can have with a renovation project. They are honest and trustworthy and do extremely high quality work. They do the job right, on time, and on budget. Every person we dealt with, from the owner on down was a genuine pleasure to deal with. Our neighbors even commented that the Out of the Woods folks but also every subcontractor was pleasant and accommodating as they drove down the street. I was worried about how stressful a renovation project would be, but it was truly stress-free because they made it work so well. They never ever pushed us to do anything we didn't want, and didn't add things on - it was what we wanted, when we wanted it, at the high quality we wanted. I would never hire anyone else.

I am almost done with a whole house renovation with Out of the Woods (OOTW) and I could not be happier. The quality of the craftsmanship is evident in every detail. Greg and his team have been so helpful throughout the entire process - providing ideas and helping me work within my budget. During demolition we uncovered some beautiful old beams in my house and the OOTW team helped brainstorm an incredible addition to the kitchen remodel. While I can't wait to have my house done, I will miss working with everyone. I hope to post pictures on Houzz when the project is done so everyone can see the great work done by Out of the Woods.
