Can't Download Team Snap Calendar

Subscribe to a Team Schedule

How-to

This article explains how to subscribe to a team schedule on your computer or mobile device calendar. This will allow you to have your team's full schedule of games and events show up automatically in your calendar, and update automatically anytime the schedule is changed. It's like finally getting that personal assistant you've always dreamed of! If you're a member of multiple teams within TeamSnap, you can also subscribe to your full TeamSnap schedule.

Note: Subscribed calendars will show past games and events up to 6 months back. If you have previously subscribed to your team schedule, you should first unsubscribe from the calendar on your personal calendar before trying the options below for the same team.

  2. Click your roster name below the team name to enter the team site
  3. Click Schedule tab
  4. Click Subscribe/Export
  5. Copy the calendar link
  6. Go to Google Calendar, click the small arrow to the right of Other Calendars (located on the left side of the screen below your mini calendar and My Calendars list)

  8. Paste calendar link into the URL field
  9. Click Add Calendar

Note: It may take a few minutes for your iCal file to fully load in Google. As long as you do not see an error, it is likely still working. Please note that Google can take up to 24 hours to fully populate subscribed calendars. If the calendar name shows in your list of calendars on the left of the screen, the subscription was successfully added. If it has been over 24 hours and your calendar has not populated, please contact support.

Android Mobile App

Subscribing to a calendar on your Android phone is a two-part process. Android phones are tightly integrated with Google, so to access a subscribed calendar on an Android phone, you must first subscribe through Google Calendar. Google does not provide a way to do this through the mobile app, so it must be done through the Google Calendar web interface by following the steps outlined in the Google Calendar section above. The second step is to go to the Calendar app that is synced to your Google account, to verify that Sync Calendars is selected in Settings by following the steps below:

You'll want to be sure that you use the same Google account that you have set up on your phone.

  1. On your Android device, open Google Calendar app or the native Android Calendar app on your phone
  2. Tap Menu icon in top left
  3. Scroll to bottom and tap Settings
  4. Tap TeamSnap calendar in the list
    • Hint: If you do not see the TeamSnap calendar in the list, tap Show More to expand to see your full list view
  5. Tap Sync to switch on

Google Calendar App for iOS

To subscribe using the Google Calendar app for iOS, you must first subscribe through Google Calendar from the web interface by following the steps outlined in the Google Calendar section above. Since subscribed internet calendars are shared calendars that you don't have administrative control over, they need to be selected individually to sync because the default setting is "Off" on the Google Calendar App for iOS. This means that when a new calendar is added, you will have to go back to sync each time by following the steps below:

  1. Make sure you are signed into your Google account from a web browser
  2. Go to www.google.com/calendar/iphoneselect
  3. On this page you will see a list of all your calendars. Next to each calendar name is a check box.
  4. Tick the check boxes of the calendars you want to sync with the iPhone or iPad
  5. Click Save
  6. Open the Calendars app on your iPhone or iPad and wait for it to sync

Microsoft Outlook Calendar

  2. Click Add Calendar
  3. Click TeamSnap in the left hand menu OR click Connect TeamSnap calendar
  4. Click Sign in to TeamSnap
  5. Enter your TeamSnap account credentials and click LOG IN
  6. Click Authorize
  7. Voila! Your teams list will be loaded. Select either all events or just games for the team(s) that you would like to sync to Outlook
  8. Click Save to confirm your selections

Note: The TeamSnap connection syncs to Outlook every hour, so changes to the schedule within TeamSnap may take up to an hour to be reflected in your Outlook calendar. We recommend to wait up to 24 hours for changes to populate before reaching out to our support to investigate.

Outlook 2003

Listen. I'm not going to question (out loud) your use of an email program that has 2003 in its name (psst Microsoft ended support for it in 2014 - that was over 5 years ago) but here's the deal: Outlook 2003 does not properly support the iCalendar format for subscribing to schedules in TeamSnap. We recommend upgrading to a version which fully supports the iCalendar format. If you are a die-hard Outlook 2003 user, you can check out this plug-in which should help you out: http://remotecalendars.sourceforge.net/

Here's another link to a screencast that shows how the plug-in works:  http://remotecalendars.sourceforge.net/sub.htm

We recommend using Apple iCal, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, or any modern iCal-compatible calendar, but we're not going to judge you if you decide against it. We just can't guarantee that our schedule subscriptions will work with Outlook 2003, and unfortunately, we won't be able to do much to help if it doesn't.

Other iCal-compatible Calendars

  1. Log into TeamSnap on the web (not mobile app)
  2. Click your roster name below the team name to enter the team site
  3. ClickSchedule tab
  4. Click the Subscribe/Export button
  5. Click one of the subscribe buttons or copy+paste the desired link provided directly into your calendar program

If you simply want to export the schedule as a CSV file for use in a spreadsheet or word processing program, you can click the Export text file button.

Note: Your personal calendar may take up to 24 hours to update with schedule changes made within TeamSnap.
